A weekly roundup of what engineering teams actually published — distributed systems, architecture, AI infrastructure and agents, platform and reliability engineering. Four to six items, each with a short summary of the engineering insight and why it matters. About five minutes to read.
Sourced from primary engineering blogs rather than aggregators: Netflix, Stripe, Cloudflare, Meta, GitHub, Uber, Discord, and others, plus AI-engineering writing and general architecture news. The filter is concrete engineering substance — a measured tradeoff, a design constraint, a number someone had to defend. Vendor announcements and listicles don't make it.
Everything links to the original post. The summaries are commentary meant to help you decide what's worth your time; the source is always where the real detail lives.
